A Real Man
I saw a Real Man while I was at Target tonight. I was getting some cough medicine for Trent when I spotted the guy behind me perusing all of the different Midol boxes. He was in heavy concentration as to which one to buy. I couldn't help but giggle watching the intensity of his decision. I am sure that it said a lot as to what kind of mood his wife was in at home. "You better get me some Midol, or else!" Hormonal women in pain is never a good combination. He ended up being in front of me in the checkout line. All that he purchased was a single box of Midol. The lady asked him if he would like a bag for that...in which he declined. I was shocked! He grabbed that box and his receipt and walked out. Wow...that is a true man right there. The only way he would have been an even "truer" man was if he had a bulk size box of pads in his other hand.

Stuck
Jonathan and I went to Fred Meyer today to do some quick shopping. I don't go there very often but I didn't feel like braving the crowds today at Winco, and not to mention having to bag my own groceries. Today was a have someone else bag my groceries type of day no matter what the cost. I unloaded my groceries and was getting Jonathan out of the shopping cart. I was pulling him out and he would not budge. I could lift him up a little but he was stuck. I kept checking if his feet were stuck, as I pulled and tugged harder. The front of the cart would start to fold up as I was tugging on him. I was getting really frustrated. Jonathan was crying, I felt like crying as the struggle continued, and continued. I was beginning to wonder if I was going to have to go to customer service to help me out or call the freakin fire department, or personally dismantle the blasted cart with a blow torch when I saw something out of the corner of my eye. What is that underneath his jacket? What is that little strap like thing right there? OH...it's the seatbelt. Forgot about that little contraption. Unclick...problem solved. I'm probably going to have to take Jonathan to the Chiropractor after all that pulling, twisting, and tugging I put him through. Another day in the life of Kristi.

Stuck
Jonathan and I went to WinCo to get some groceries. Yes...I actually went grocery shopping...my most favorite thing in the whole wide world to do. I'm so lucky. (can you feel the sarcasm?) Anyways...Jonathan was sitting in the front of the shopping cart when all of a sudden he starts crying. I look down, and lo and behold, he has somehow got his foot stuck in between one of the tiny metal slats. He had pulled his leg out of the kid seat and pushed his foot through the teeny tiny space next to it! How on EARTH did he do that? He was crying as I am trying to bend his foot sideways to shove it back through the hole. It reminded me of a time when I was little and we had a family reunion in Provo Utah. We stayed at a hotel there, and we all went swimming. My cousin didn't want to go all the way around the pool and go through the gate, so he decided to squeeze through the metal fence. He somehow got his head through, but that was it. It was quite the ordeal...think we even had to call the fire department for that one. Family Reunions...time for makin memories. I dont' remember much about anything else we did, but I remember him standing there with his head stuck in the fence.
Anyways...back to WinCo. Jonathan is really crying now, everyone is looking at me (thus...the "LOOK"), and I am two seconds away from going to find a jar of vaseline to see if that would help, and badda boom, badda bing....I was able to twist his foot just right and shove it through. It was a nightmare...the poor kid. His foot was all red. When we got home from the horrendous adventure, he started to play with Nathans power ranger motorcycle. And what do ya know? He gets his finger stuck in the little space between the handle bars! What the??? It took a while to get that one out. Twice in one day. Parenting...ya never know what lies ahead. Who knew that shopping carts could be so dangerous, even when you are using them correctly. I'll make sure that he has shoes on next time, that should solve the problem.
