My New Career

While we were driving in the car, Nathan asked me if I could have any career in the world what would it be. I first said, "Being a stay home mom, that's the best job in the world" (What can I say?, I was feeling all warm and fuzzy, the kids were pretty good today)

Nathan then said that the best job for me would be one that is from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. (We joke all the time that I am a day person. Not a night or an early morning person...but a day person. My best hours are from 10:00am -1:00pm...after that it is all down hill...heh heh)

Then he had an idea that he was tickled about. He said, "Mom...I got it...your perfect career would be taking naps!" (that immediately got my undivided attention) "You could be a bed tester and take naps on them" (That's my boy) "And then Jonathan could be a crib tester, and he could nap when you nap"

I never thought I would find a perfect career, but I have to admit, that would pretty much be THE perfect career. Getting to take naps everyday....AND getting paid for doing it. My kid is so stinkin smart. So if you see me in your local home department store, and I am snoozing and drooling all over the bed...don't disturb me...I'm working.

Easter Egg-stravaganza!

Easter time has come and gone...so what does that mean? It is time to blog about it....after the fact. The problem with doing this by "memory" is that I can't remember all that much about it. It was practically TWO months ago. So...since my memory is not that great...I shall post many pictures documenting the day. The above picture is our Easter "baskets". A couple years ago I opted out of the whole basket thing (mainly because I cleaned the garage and threw away the baskets) and instead throwing some piles of fake grass down. Works beautifully.
My Peanut Butter "basket"

Nathan's bundle of nugget/sugar goodness AND a yo-yo, there has been a lot of "Around the worlds" and "Walking the Dog" moves goin on around here

Jonathan's shake and go car...Easter bunny had no idea how loud this thing is...and just how much Jonathan loves to shake it and watch it go...Excedrin anyone?
Trent's basket...nuggets and marshmallow eggs...he is easy to please
The Easter bunny left some hazelnut thingies and marshmallow eggs for Gramps at our house

This little egg opens...what is this I see in here?
Hmmm...something new...something sugary...
I Like it!! Jelly Beans are my new friends
Gramps brought stuff for us that the Easter Bunny left at his house. See's Candy. His Easter Bunny is wealthy. He brought "real" chocolate
Me and Da boyz
8 pictures later, Jonathan finally smiles!
My handsome boys
There ya have it. It looks like it was a good day. It must've been. Good thing I take pictures since I suffer from CRS. (Can't remember......Crap)

Summer Time

How does one know when Summer has "officially" arrived? Is it when you pull out the pool?
When you dust off those capri's and pray to the almighty that they still fit? And then you realize that you have to actually shave your legs on a more regular basis? Yuck!

The sure way that I know that Summer time is here is this:

The constant skinning of the knees...over and over and over again. Summer has officially arrived my friends. Oh yeah....OH yeah!

Anniversary The big 1-5

Wow...we have actually been married 15 years today. I don't know why that sounds so.....grown up to have been married that long, but it does. I am officially an old married gal today. Fifteen years?! Wow...that's pretty cool, AND I not only love the guy, but I still really like him too. :) Trent sent me some gorgeous flowers today...daisies...my favorite. Trent teaches at the college on Wednesday nights, so I called my friend Robin and we went out to eat to celebrate my anniversary. Any excuse to go out to eat is gladly welcomed. That call was funny to make,
"Hey Robin...it's my 15 year anniversary tonight...you want to go out to dinner tonight?"
"ummm...don't you want to go out with Trent?" she says
"yeah...but he can't go out tonight...you wanna go celebrate?"
And off we went after the kids were in bed (she has older kids that can come sit at my house and watch tv...the best part is, is that it is FREE!!)

What can I say that has not already been said in my last years Anniversary Post? I am truly blessed to have married such an awesome guy. Here's to another 15 more!

Care for a shovel anyone?

I love watching toddlers in their whole discovery process. Every day they are learning something new and experiencing new things. Jonathan has recently learned something that he is utterly and completely fascinated with. It is rare that you don't see him fine tuning this new skill. I think from his personality he is very detail oriented, because once he learns something, he practices it over and over and over again. What is this new skill? What is my brilliant toddler doing these days to delight us? This picture speaks for itself.
Yeah...ain't he brilliant? I swear he is a stinkin genius. At least he lovingly brings each nasty gooey booger to me instead of eating them. That has to be a sign of brilliant-ness right? Care for a shovel anyone? The Digging for gold has begun.
A picture with his cousin Shayla...the finger rarely strays from the nostril these days.

Utah or bust

I...am...outta here! Well at least Jonathan and I are. I am heading to Utah for a family reunion. It should be fun since I haven't seen some of these cousins since I was in middle school. They are hilarious. So...you all hold tight for a week or so and I'll catch ya later!
