We had Chris and Brenda over for Sunday dinner (Jan. 11th). Brenda was feeling good enough to venture out of the house and go visiting, so we were ready to party. Here is our first family dinner we have had in a long time at our house. Nathan was gracious enough to show us his food. He is such a sharing type of boy. We had Creamy Italian Crock pot Chicken, one of our favorites. YUM!

What do we do at these family dinners? Well...we eat of course, and play some games. We got a new game for Christmas that you wear headbands and ask other people questions to figure out what is on your own headband. Easy right? Um....not really. I don't know if we are more of the easy Candyland type of game people or what, but it took some concentration on trying to remember what questions you asked, and how people answered. None of us could guess what was on our head. Huh...we pulled out the Chinese Checkers instead. Ahhh....more our style. Nice thought though Arlyn, we got a few good laughs out of our Christmas present.

Some of us sleep

Nathan caught Grandpa sleeping at the table after dinner. The Kunz's amaze me at how they can fall asleep any place, any time and anywhere!
And what does Jonathan do during these times?
Yeah...Jonathan has learned how to open up all of our doors. This particular door is to our closet that I converted into a pantry. Lots of jars of food and packages of things. A Toddlers dream closet.

How fun! Isn't it funny the things we take for granted, like family dinners, until we realize how fragile life can be! Glad you guys are making the most of your time together! One more week!! Can't wait to see you and Jonathan! Get ready to read and sleep! Oh Yea!
That headband game looks hilarious!! I am going to have to try that with Logan - he would love it!
I love family dinners....good food (I love that crockpot recipe too....did you get that from Kim G. when we were at UCLA??), and good company.
I think about you guys daily and you are always in my prayers. It was crazy when you first posted about finding out about Trent's mom on Halloween. I have a brother (named Trent) who was diagnosed with Leukemia and passed away ON Halloween. I've been following Brenda's progress and story and constantly praying for her and your family!
I think the headbands make a fresh new fashion statement!
And here I thought my husband and his father were the only ones who could fall asleep anywhere! I need to start videotaping, too!
Maria, I didnt' get this recipe from Kim. I do have other tasty recipes from her though, her chicken enchiladas and carmel corn...YUM! It is probably a lot the same though, chicken, cream cheese, italian seasoning...SO good! I didn't know that you had a brother that had leukemia. And the halloween connection is freaky eh? oooooohhhhh...(my halloween ghostly howl) Thanks for the thoughts and prayers everyone. It totally helps.
I love the picture at the table (uh, the first one, lol). You look like such a happy family.
Sorry the game was a bit of a bust.
You'll have to share that recipe! I can always go for a good crockpot recipe :)
