We now have a crawling machine on our hands. Saturday he just decided it was time to crawl and he took off. It is amazing that he learned it all on his own. And I mean ALL on his own. Anytime I would see Nathan up in the crawl stance, I would tell him to quit showing Jonathan, we don't want this kid to crawl any earlier than necessary! :) I feel fortunate that he is 9 months and just started to crawl, we dodged that bullet for a while. It has been fun to watch him, and it has opened a whole new world for him. The world of dust balls, and bugs in the sliding glass door rail, old cheerios that had been lying hidden under the fridge, ant traps that had not been put up on the counter, and any other teeny pieces of food, dirt, plastic, leaves, wrappers, etc..that no human eye could see unless they were down on their hands and knees. I have been vaccuming and mopping a lot these days. It is amazing the things things he finds! It was gross when he had black stuff all over his face and upon closer inspection it was little bug parts, possibly a fly? Extra protein I guess. I am never alone now either. He crawls to everywhere that I am (including outside the bathroom door while I am in there!) and cries at my feet. The sounds of motherhood, I should record them onto a CD for all to enjoy. It could be the new abstinence campaign, just straight crying and whining for a solid 1/2 hr. That should just about do it. I have to say that a crawling baby is pretty cute. Can't wait for church on Sunday, should be interesting. PS...Beware of the obnoxious sounding mommy voice on the video. Yikes! PSS, I am now adding another video. As I was trying to put the first video on, Jonathan was of course at my feet crying, and he got himself in quite a pickle. Thought I would add it. Love my life.

So cute and VERY funny! It reminds me of the time Daniel was 10-11 months old and learning to walk. He stepped up onto a movie case (all of 1 1/2" high) and couldn't get down! It was very funny.
video #1 - I love the contrast between you (ooey-gooey, uber-mom) and Trent ("He finally got it, huh?")
video #2 - I think I could probably report you to CPS for this cruel form of neglect. :-)
BTW - he's adorable. We need to get down there to meet him and see how grown up Nathan is.
He is really cute. By the way this Pat Tucker's daugther writing on your blog.
That is the best. He is growing up so fast. That sounds so cliche but true. What is up with the word verification....it is like trying to figure out a foreign language. The font they use is funky and then some clever pencil pusher with nothing else to do thought it would be funny to torment others by arranging the letters all over the place. Like just using a straight line of random letters isn't verification enough. Some people have too much time on their hands! Love to have that problem once in a while.
Some call it child abuse. Moms like us call it entertainment. Start saving up for the therapy now!
I have already started a therapy fund for my boys. I seem to add to it weekly. "Another 10 bucks in the therapy fund for that one today". Mission? Education? naw..we save up for future therapy sessions. My poor boys :)
How weird is it that video #1 sounds exactly like my own personal ooey-gooey uber mom videos? Watching it was a strange out of body experience of me talking to a cute baby that I don't know. He is very cute. Your impressive sledding story made me think back to the women's conference laugh fest of '06 that included your 'mom on the slide story'. When you're hard up for a good story you should share it. Still makes me laugh.
